January 2018, CPI Combined Lampung Index increase from 132.18 in December 2017 to 133.86 in January 2018, thus inflation of 1.28 percent.
Based on the calculation of year to point inflation in January 2018 of 1.28 percent and year on year inflation (yoy) in January 2018 was 3.48 percent.
Of the seven expenditure groups, all experienced inflation, ie foodstuff category experienced inflation (up by 2.50 percent); processed food, beverages, cigarette and tobacco 1.26 percent; housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel 1.18 percent; clothing group 0.58 percent; health group 0.12 percent; education, recreation and sports group 0.99 percent and transportation, communication and financial services group 0.22 percent.
From two monitoring cities in Lampung in January 2018, all experienced inflation. Bandar Lampung inflation was 1.42 percent and Metro inflation was 0.48 percent.
Bandar Lampung City Inflation was ranked 1st and Metro City ranked 58th, out of 82 cities that observed the development of its price. Out of 82 cities, 79 CPI cities experienced inflation and 3 cities experienced deflation. The highest inflation occurred in Bandar Lampung at 1.42 percent, while the lowest inflation occurred in Tangerang by 0.04 percent. Jayapura's highest deflation was -1.12 percent and Meulaboh's lowest deflation was -0.14 percent.
The foodstuff group contributed the highest inflation, at 0.61 percent. The subgroup that became the highest inflation contributor in January 2018 was the subgroup of grains, tubers and yields of 0.40 percent.
